Once again welcome to our practice. To minimize delays and waiting times to our clients, our consultation times cover almost the whole day.
Mon - Fri:
8:00am - 8:30am
10:30am - 12:00pm
1:30pm - 6:00pm
6:30pm - 8:00pm
These are booked appointments, which you need to ring and make a time that is available and fits in with your day. There is a surcharge per animal/appointment for Consultations on Monday- Friday 5:30pm - 8:00pm and Saturday/Sunday 9:00am-4:00pm as these appointments are after hours. This covers the visit to the vet only. It does not cover injections or medication that may be given, used or dispensed as a result of the consultation.
Naturally in the event of an emergency we may have to reschedule your appointment at our discretion based on the number and availability of vets and the seriousness of the emergency. If you do have a life threatening emergency please bring your pet in at any time during opening hours. It is always preferable to phone in advance to let us know you are on your way so we can be aware of your situation, prepare accordingly and ensure a veterinarian is available on site.
We also welcome clients to leave their pets with us for a few hours, or the day, if this is more convenient to carry out a check over or run some tests. You will still need to make an appointment for your pet before you drop it off and sign a consent form when you come in.
We no longer do MAF certification for animals export checks.
Microchipping can be done in a consult or at the time of de-sexing.
Large Animal Call Outs
These are on a case by case basis where we have an experienced Large animal Vet at the Clinic. We will do our best to accomodate and attend to these calls, however we may not have a Large Animal Vet available.
We no longer do an oncall or emergency large animal service. This came into effect 30 June 2017. Please contact the clinic for more information.
Home Visits and Calls
Where transport or circumstances make it a challenge to visit the clinic our vets can pop out to your house. This is suitable for animals that do not enjoy car trips, or become aggressive once in the car, or if the animal is immobile due to illness. This can also be a less stressful way for your animal to be put to sleep where they will be in a familiar and friendly environment. House visits can range from, vaccination for multiple pet households, euthanasias, wellness checks, vaccinations and general concerns or evaluations of your pets.
Home calls are only done on weekdays 10:30am-4:30pm. They are not available in the weekend due to only one vet and nurse being available at the clinic between 9am-4pm.
Nurse appointments are available from 9am - 7:30pm week days. Appointments for suture removals, worming, flea treatment applications, clinical exams, nail clips and weight loss or management consults are available for your furry friend. Microchipping can also be discussed during these consultations. These appointments need to be booked prior to arrival to make sure a nurse is available.
The nurses also do cat grooming. These are booked to come in at 8:00am in the morning and the groom takes place during the day. Sometimes sedation is required but that is decided on a case by case basis, depending on the individual animal, the cats temperament and the amount of grooming that needs to be done. We demat unruly cats, that are difficult to groom at home.
We do not groom dogs. If you have a query about a groomer for your dog, please give us a call and we can help point you in the right direction. Our Nurses do not do geriatric pet checks, this can be booked in with the veterinarian.

Kennel and Cattery Boarding
We board vaccinated cats and dogs only in our kennels and cattery. This can be long term or short term stays for felines and small to medium sized dogs. For long term stays, Christmas, and Easter holidays a deposit is required before the animal comes in for boarding. Our kennels are fairly popular especially over the school and public holidays. The dogs are sometimes kennelled in the hospital, so constant barkers may not be accpeted. Vaccination status of the animals must be presented before the animal is presented for boarding if you are not a client. These must be booked in advance, especially over public and school holidays.
***We are fully booked over the Christmas/New Year Period 2017-2018***
All services are offered on a strictly cash only basis. We do not extend credit to our clients. All Routine appointments must be paid upon collection of the animal, or upon the finish of a consultation.
Payment can be made via Visa, EFTPOS, Credit Card, Cheque, or cash. Our terminal does not accept American express or PAYWAVE.
Estimates of our Fees will usually be given as a matter of course, however clients should feel free to discuss cost of services with a veterinarian.
